Find a timber harvest plan for Whitehorse

Timber harvest plans help ensure the sustainable use of forests. These plans cover landscape units ranging from 5,000 hectares to around 300,000 hectares. These identify:

  • areas proposed for forest resource harvesting;
  • where and how timber will be removed; and
  • strategies for minimizing or removing negative environmental impacts on other natural resources.

Little Fox Lake fuelwood II timber harvest plan

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is north of Whitehorse at kilometre 260 on the North Klondike Highway. This plan covers 371 hectares with approximately 6,895 cubic metres of fuelwood. (6,848.14 KB)

2012 Lubbock Valley timber harvest plan

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is southeast of Tagish on the Atlin Road at kilometre 24. This plan covers 1,872 hectares with 7,700 cubic metres of green conifer for sawlogs and 2,165 cubic metres of fuelwood. (6,555.50 KB)

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is north of Whitehorse at kilometre 260 on the North Klondike Highway. This plan covers 2,057 hectares with a harvest limit of 92,565 cubic metres. (2,938.09 KB)

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is at the northwest corner of Marsh Lake. It's north of the Alaska Highway at kilometres 1376 and 1378. The plan covers 2 areas totalling 16 hectares with a sellable volume of 24,550 cubic metres (2,224.74 KB)

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is on the southwest corner of Little Atlin Lake and accessible from Atlin Road. The plan covers 154 hectares and includes 5,050 cubic metres. (3,072.93 KB)

Fox Lake commercial fuelwood planning area

Description:

This timber harvest plan area is along the east side of the Klondike Highway between Fox Lake and Braeburn Lake. This plan covers 164 hectares and provides for harvesting up to 10,261 cubic metres of fire killed fuelwood. (21,215.64 KB)
