A Yukon highway

Spring Litter Clean-up Campaign

Turn roadside trash into treasure! Eligible non-profits can help keep our highways clean and give back to their communities by participating in the annual Spring Litter Clean-up campaign.

Clean-up sections are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so apply now!

Who can apply?

Non-profit organizations registered and based in the Yukon can apply. This includes:

  • sports teams;
  • art groups;
  • schools;
  • church groups;
  • service clubs; and
  • community associations.

To be eligible, the non-profit organization needs to be registered and in compliance with Corporate Affairs. You can find how to incorporate a society on Yukon.ca. You can also find the status of your organization on the Yukon Corporate Online Registry.

Each non-profit organization needs a group for clean-up. Each group needs to have an adult supervisor with a vehicle plus 5 volunteers.

One non-profit organization can have multiple groups doing clean-up. This means that one non-profit can receive $300 multiple times (once per clean-up section).
