Travel and borders

- Canada and the U.S. have extended border closures to non-essential travel until August 21.
- Residents of BC, Nunavut, NWT and Yukon are allowed to travel back and forth without the need to self-isolate for 14 days,
- Individuals entering Yukon’s airports must wear a mask and the Government of Canada will now require temperature screenings for all passengers.
Businesses and financial relief
- Updated guidelines for bars, pubs, lounges and nightclubs mean that music, including singing and wind instruments, is now permitted if requirements are met.

- Residential tenants who are under a health protection measure after June 25 or who need to breach their tenancy agreement because they are under a COVID-19 health protection order are protected from eviction.
Enforcement and other guidelines
- Yukon’s Chief Medical Officer of Health is recommending to the Department of Education that children age 10 and older wear non-medical masks where physical distancing cannot be maintained.
