Health care

  • Yukoners can now choose 1 other household to join up with and do not have to practise physical distancing with people in that household. This is called the “double bubble". Once you choose your bubble, you cannot change it. Learn more: https://yukon.ca/en/news/may-19-2020-covid-19-update

Travel and borders

  • Anyone entering Yukon must check in with an Enforcement or Canada Border Services Agency Officer and provide their destination, contact information and declaration. Everyone entering Yukon must self-isolate for 14 days.
  • People in Atlin, Lower Post, Fraser, Jade City, Fireside or Pleasant Camp are exempt from the 14-day self-isolation period, if they have not travelled outside of Yukon or their home community in the past 14 days.
  • Canada and the US have agreed to extend the current measures in place along our borders until July 21, keeping them closed to non-essential travel.
  • Territorial campgrounds are open. Travellers transiting through Yukon may not camp or stop at territorial campgrounds. Camping during COVID-19 is different. Learn more: www.Yukon.ca/camping
  • Starting June 22, Parks Canada will be reopening camping at Kluane National Park and Reserve. Learn more: https://www.pc.gc.ca/en/pn-np/yt/kluane/visit/covid-19-info

  • Outdoor visits for long-term care residents are now permitted.
  • Guidelines for the reopening of bars within the territory have been shared with all proprietors, with the intent of giving them time to prepare for reopening on Friday, June 19. Bars may only open at 50% capacity, the same as restaurants. This is intended to promote physical distancing and limit the size of groups. Groups planning to gather at a bar can be no larger than 10 sitting together.
