  1. Determine if you’re eligible

Collection agency employees who collect on behalf of the agency are known as collection agents.

All collection agents working in Yukon must hold a licence and renew their licence every year.

    Renewal period

All collection agent licences expire annually on June 30. Have your collection agency submit your renewal application before June 1. This will ensure we can process your application before your licence expires.

It’s illegal to work in the new licence year before we've issued your new licence.

    Eligibility

You’re eligible to renew a collection agent licence if you meet the following requirements:

    • you hold a current collection agent licence in Yukon; and
    • you’re currently employed by a collection agency that holds a valid Yukon licence.
  2. Complete the renewal application form

Complete all sections of the renewal application form. Do not leave a section blank. You may enter “not applicable” when it’s relevant. We may return incomplete applications.
