Determine if you’re eligible
All pharmacists practising in the Yukon must register, hold a Yukon licence and renew it every year.
A full licence allows you to use the title of pharmacist and work to the full extent of Yukon regulations.
Renewal period
All pharmacist licences expire annually on March 31. Submit your renewal application before March 1. This ensures we can process your licence before it expires.
If we receive your renewal application after March 1, you'll need to pay a late fee of $200. If you do not renew your licence by March 31, you must apply for reinstatement and pay a reinstatement fee.
It’s illegal to work in the new licence year before we've renewed your licence.
Eligibility
You’re eligible to renew your full licence if you meet all the following requirements:
-
you hold a current full licence for Yukon;
-
you continue to hold a pharmacist licence in another Canadian jurisdiction and are in good standing in that jurisdiction; and
-
you’ve met all continuing competency requirements.
If you’ve had any complaints, disciplinary or criminal action against you, please note:
-
we will assess your eligibility for registration or licensure on a case-by-case basis; and
-
you may not be approved for registration or licensing.
