  1. Determine if you're eligible

All student pharmacists practising in Yukon must hold a student licence and renew it every year.

    Renewal period

All pharmacist licences expire annually on March 31. Submit your renewal application before March 1. This ensures we can process your licence before it expires.

If we receive your renewal application after March 1, you'll need to pay a late fee of $200. If you do not renew your licence by March 31, you must apply for reinstatement and pay a reinstatement fee.

It’s illegal to work in the new licence year before we've renewed your licence.

    Eligibility

You’re eligible to renew your pharmacist student licence if you meet the following requirements:

    • you hold a current student pharmacist licence for Yukon;
    • you’re currently enrolled in an approved Canadian pharmacy degree program; and
    • the university has approved and will monitor your student practicum in Yukon.

If you’ve had any complaints, disciplinary or criminal action against you, please note:

    • we will assess your eligibility for registration or licensure on a case-by-case basis; and
    • you may not be approved for registration or licensing.
  2. Complete the renewal application form

Complete all sections of the renewal application form. Do not leave a section blank. You may enter “not applicable” when it's relevant.

    Tips

    • At top of the form, select “student licence.”
    • We may return incomplete applications.

You must also gather and submit these documents with your application package.

    • Make sure to submit the results with your complete application package.
