The Government of Yukon is cooperating with the Yukon Child and Youth Advocate to conduct a systemic review of the Transitional Support Services (TSS) program.
The government approached the Child and Youth Advocate, who has agreed to conduct the independent and impartial systemic review of the TSS program for the three-year period dating from April 1, 2015, to April 1, 2018.
We want to ensure children and youth in our care have the support they need to thrive. This process will include the views of previous and current youth residents and their families to help identify areas of focus for this review. We want to know what concerns there may be throughout this area of service and involving the Child and Youth Advocate provides a safe and confidential place for people to raise their concerns.

Government of Yukon operates six child and youth group homes.
The TSS program was previously known as Residential Youth Treatment Services.
In 2016, the Yukon Child and Youth Advocate conducted a systemic review of out-of-territory treatment for youth with violence, self-harm and substance abuse problems and provided recommendations to the Government of Yukon on improving the identified issues.
