Government of Yukon to complete F.H. Collins Secondary School project

The Government of Yukon is working with the F.H. Collins Secondary School community and investing $3.12 million to complete the F.H. Collins Secondary School project.

The completion work will include a community basketball court, an outdoor learning space for experiential learning activities, a new weight building for the sport program, a multi-use path between buildings, 20-30 new parking spots and a new bus loop to be shared with the French First Language high school.

Construction of the weight room is planned to begin in spring 2018, while work on the remaining projects will take place over summer 2018. These site features are expected to be completed for the beginning of the 2018–19 school year.

The completion of this project is important for the F.H. Collins Secondary School community. These facilities will expand learning and sport opportunities while supporting the health and wellness of all school communities in Riverdale.
