Leadership update in the Department of Tourism and Culture

Premier Sandy Silver has made an update to the leadership position in the Department of Tourism and Culture.

Justin Ferbey has been appointed as Deputy Minister for the Department of Tourism and Culture, along with his existing role as Deputy Minister for the Department of Economic Development and President of the Yukon Development Corporation.

This appointment is effective immediately.

I would like to thank Justin for his leadership in the Department of Tourism and Culture while he has been acting in this role and I look forward to continue working together in the future. Justin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role and I have full confidence in his commitment to the public service and improving the lives of Yukoners.

Justin Ferbey

Justin Ferbey is the former CEO of the Carcross/Tagish Development and Management Corporation and has served in a number of advisory positions throughout B.C. and the Yukon in federal and self-governing First Nations governments. He has received numerous leadership and innovation awards, and has spent considerable time volunteering for local, national and international associations and boards. Ferbey holds a bachelor of arts and science, a master of business and has obtained certifications in conflict resolution and management.
