Yukon hosts Pacific Northwest Economic Region Leadership Summit

State and provincial legislators, policy makers and business leaders from the Pacific Northwest will convene at the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) 2018 Economic Leadership Summit in Whitehorse from November 13 to 15.

The Economic Leadership Forum will feature in-depth sessions focused on priority issues impacting the regional economy. The summit agenda has a strong northern focus, exploring topics such as energy solutions in the North, First Nations economic development and Aboriginal tourism and First Nations leadership and governance.

The PNWER Foundation was created in 1991 and consists of several Canadian and American jurisdictions including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon, the Northwest Territories, Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana and Washington.
