Joint news release with the BC Non-Profit Housing Association
The Northern Regional Education Networking Tradeshow (RENT) event will be held on June 12, 2018, in Whitehorse. Housing providers and stakeholders are invited to network and learn about the unique challenges for housing in the north.
Highlights of the day include a lunchtime discussion by local housing advocates on strategies that have helped generate new housing options in Yukon, as well as a tour of innovative housing projects in Whitehorse.
The day will also include workshops on housing leadership, building practices, leveraging partnerships and capital planning and maintenance.
This event will bring together housing partners and stakeholders from across Yukon and northern B.C. and provides a great opportunity to learn from each other as we continue to work on innovative housing solutions for the North. Partnerships are the foundation of successful housing outcomes, and we are excited to host Northern RENT with our partners at the B.C. Non-Profit Housing Association.

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Yukon Housing Corporation for our Northern RENT. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from and collaborate with our northern neighbours, explore the unique challenges of creating and preserving affordable housing in the north, and network with housing stakeholders.

Registration is free, but participants must sign up to attend.
Delegates can attend workshops on inspired leadership, fostering Indigenous partnerships, housing in the north, capital maintenance and planning, and Ready, Set, Build.
RENT events provide an opportunity to network with housing stakeholders, educators, decision-makers, researchers and leaders, as well as learn about the latest in products and services for the non-profit housing sector at the tradeshow.
This year will be the first year that the BC Non-Profit Housing Association (BCNPHA) and Yukon Housing Corporation have joined forces to hold an event in Yukon, bringing together BCNPHA members and housing stakeholders from B.C. and Yukon.
Northern RENT has previously been held in northern BC.
