Purpose of the trip: At their annual meeting, provincial and territorial ministers responsible for social services discussed key social policy issues, including reducing and preventing poverty, improving outcomes for Indigenous children and youth and improving supports for families and children with autism spectrum disorder. The northern ministers also met prior to the provincial-territorial gathering to discuss key areas where they can collaborate to improve outcomes in health and social services across the North.
