Purpose of this trip: Premier Sandy Silver travelled to Ottawa to raise important Yukon issues in meetings with the Prime Minister, Federal Ministers, Premiers and national Indigenous organization leaders on topics including economic growth, Canada and US relations and the North American Free Trade Agreement. Premier Silver also attended a Council of the Federation meeting to continue discussions on shared priorities with Canada’s premiers. Premier Silver spoke directly with federal Finance Minister, Bill Morneau, and presented the concerns of Yukon business owners.
