As of July 20, 2020, a person with an out-of-province licence plate can get a set of decals to show their vehicle is allowed in Yukon. One non-reusable sticker goes on the driver's side of the windshield, and the other will be displayed at the back of the vehicle, preferably near the license plate.
Decals will be issued to:
- critical service workers;
- essential service workers;
- residents from outside the Yukon mobility bubble who've completed their mandatory 14-day self-isolation;
- Yukon residents who have not yet changed their licence plates over; and
- Alaskan residents receiving essential services in Yukon.
If you have a commercial vehicle with dual registration (a Yukon licence plate and 1 from another jurisdiction), you can get a decal for your vehicle.
Decals will not be issued to:
- residents who are part of the mobility bubble (British Columbia, Northwest Territories and Nunavut);
- travellers transiting through Yukon; or
- anyone who has not completed their mandatory 14-day self-isolation.
Border check stations
Critical workers will be issued a decal at a CEMA border check station:
- Watson Lake weigh station
- Yukon-British Columbia border at Junction 37
