Turn roadside trash into treasure
Eligible non-profits can help keep our highways clean and give back to their communities by taking part in the annual Spring Litter Clean-up. Highway sections are given out on a first-come, first-served basis, so register now!
Upon completion, your organization will receive a $250 voucher from the Department of Highways and Public Works.
Who can apply
Yukon non-profit organizations are eligible to apply for clean-up locations.
Sports teams, arts groups, schools, church groups, service clubs and community associations are considered qualifying organizations. Each group needs at least 1 adult supervisor with a vehicle and a minimum of 5 volunteers.
Before you apply
Any non-profit group participating in the Spring Litter Clean-up must be registered and in compliance with Corporate Affairs – Societies. Your registry number must be included on your application form. Groups that are not registered with Corporate Affairs or that are non-compliant will not be eligible to receive their $250 voucher.
The application form includes information about eligibility and application requirements. We recommend that you read through this information to confirm your group’s eligibility and understand your group supervisor’s responsibilities before you apply.
