Get a campsite permit

Campground permit name changes

The Yukon resident annual campground permit is now called the “annual camping voucher”. The online daily campground permit is now called the “nightly camping voucher”.

You need a campsite permit to register your campsite once you arrive at a Government of Yukon campground.

Permits are available at the information/self-registration kiosks in our 42 road-accessible campgrounds.

You must register all campsite use – day or night, year-round – using the campsite permit envelopes provided in the campground.

Do you need a permit?

Yes. Everyone who uses a campsite within a territorial park is required to obtain a campsite permit. This includes road-accessible campgrounds and backcountry campgrounds.

From May 1 through September 30 campsites may only be used for camping. From October 1 through April 30 they may also be used for day use activities. Campsite permits are required for all use year-round.

Check the current status as we may close sites due to flooding, wildlife danger, road conditions or other hazards.

How much does a campsite permit cost?

You may obtain a campsite permit by paying cash on-site or by;

  • purchasing a nightly camping voucher;
  • purchasing an annual camping voucher; or
  • making a campsite reservation at participating campgrounds.

Fees apply to obtain a campsite permit from May 1 to September 30. All fees include GST:

  • Cash, paid on site: $20

  • Annual camping voucher (Yukon residents only): $200

  • The online reservation system does not support annual campsite permits/annual camping vouchers as a payment method.
  • After April 9, 2025, call 867-667-5648 from Monday to Friday between 9 am to 4 pm (YST) to make a booking with an annual campground permit.

  5. Tear the campsite permit from the envelope and clip it to your campsite number post.
  6. Place the envelope in the deposit vault.

For reservable campsites in road accessible campgrounds:
