The Yukon’s MMIWG2S+ strategy

In 2020, the Yukon Advisory Committee on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S+) released a strategy on MMIWG2S+. The strategy is a response to the National Inquiry on MMIWG's final report.

This strategy takes a whole-of-Yukon approach to addressing violence against Indigenous women, girls and Two-Spirit+ people in the territory.

National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls

In June 2019, the National Inquiry released its final report. The report delivers 231 calls for justice directed at governments, institutions, social service providers, industries and all Canadians.
