Bulletin #4: Government of Yukon issues fire ban for Southern Yukon and the Robert Campbell Highway area

Effective immediately, the Government of Yukon has implemented a ban on all open fires within the Fire Management Areas of Whitehorse, Teslin, Haines Junction, Ross River, and Watson Lake. This ban applies to all open fires, including campfires and fireworks. You can still use Government of Yukon campground fireplaces, stoves or other facilities provided for the purpose of having a fire. You may also use closed cooking tools such as covered barbeques and small cook stoves.
