Each year, the Commissioner attends the following events:
January – Commissioner's New Year's Levee, Family Literacy Day
February – Arctic Inspiration Awards, Yukon Quest, Sourdough Rendezvous
March – Arctic Winter Games (every 2 years), BC/ Yukon Life Saving Ceremony
April – Vancouver Yukoners’ Association Annual Banquet, Yukon Youth Parliament
May – Minister of Justice Community Safety Awards, Journee de la Francophonie Yukonnaise
June – National Indigenous Peoples Day
July – Canada Day
August – Cadet Graduation, Outstanding Youth Achievement Awards, Commissioner's Picnic
September – Culture Days, United Way Pancake Breakfast, Whitehorse-Lancieux Friendship, Vice-Regal Conference (2022)
October – presentation of the first poppy
November – Remembrance Day activities
December – Annual Christmas Open House

Commissioner's New Year's Levee
The Commissioner's New Year's Levee is held each year on January 1 in Whitehorse. The event includes award presentations and musical performances followed by a catered reception.

Commissioner's Tea
The annual Commissioner's Tea is co-hosted by Parks Canada and the IODE on the lawns of the grand Commissioner's Residence in Dawson City, Yukon.

Audience: this is an all age event and the public is welcome to attend

Commissioner's Picnic
The Commissioner's Ball will not happen for 2021. Instead join us for the Commissioner's Picnic held on Discovery Day weekend in Dawson City. This is a FREE family friendly event.
Date: August 14, 2021 from 1 p.m to 4:30 p.m.
Location: on the grounds of the Commissioner's Residence, Dawson City, Yukon
Audience: all ages
Come enjoy an afternoon with the Commissioner and picnic on the grounds of the Commissioner's Residence. Enjoy a game of croquet or bocce ball with your safe bubble on the grounds of Fort Herchmer. Event will adhere to COVID protocols.
