Counting Us In: A Statistical Profile of Yukon Women

This report provides an overview of the lives of women in Yukon, using selected statistical data. The objectives of the report are: to increase awareness and understanding of a variety of issues facing Yukon women today; assist government staff in planning and evaluating policies and programs in a gender sensitive manner; assist in identifying areas where inequities exist and persist; provide baseline data which can be updated on a regular basis in order to provide the most comprehensive and current information; and provide a comparison between the lives of Yukon women and men, and between Yukon women and Canadian women.
