Vegetation association classification has been conducted for the treed vegetation of Yukon. Vegetation association descriptions (fact sheets) and identification tools (key and tables) have been prepared for select groupings of Yukon associations.

These guidelines were developed to support a consistent, Yukon-specific approach to ecosystem classification and mapping. The guidelines present best practices and recommended steps for planning and carrying out Yukon ELC projects.
