The Government of Yukon is seeking input to help guide the development of a new suite of funding programs that meet the priorities and needs of the local agricultural sector and its stakeholders. The new funding programs will replace the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) program that is expiring in March 2023.
The feedback will be used to identify the Government of Yukon’s priorities as it negotiates the funding agreement known as the Bilateral Agreement with the Government of Canada in winter 2022-2023.
Your feedback will ensure that the next suite of funding programs developed reflect and target the needs of the Yukon’s agriculture industry.
The Guelph Statement outlines the five priorities and focus areas and the guiding principles for the Next Policy Framework negotiations. The Government of Canada and all provinces in territories signed this statement in November 2021.
The Canadian Agricultural Partnership is the current five-year federal-provincial-territorial funding program that expires at the end of March 2023.
