What was this engagement about?

To modernize the Yukon’s legislation, the Government of Yukon is planning to change the Health Professions Act. As in other jurisdictions in Canada, the plan is to regulate all health professions in the Yukon together under a single umbrella act that protects regulated health professionals and the public.

Revising the Health Professions Act will include creating one accessible and culturally safe complaints process that meets Yukoners’ needs. In preparation, the Government of Yukon is wanting to understand the barriers to complaints. Yukoners are invited to provide their input.
The Government of Yukon is inviting feedback from anyone who has complained about a regulated health professional in the territory. They also want to understand why people may have chosen not to make a complaint. The Health Professions Act engagement is not about access to health care issues.

How will my input make a difference?

Your input will help the Government of Yukon improve the process to make complaints about a regulated health professional.
