Tabled changes to the Residential Tenancies Act

Proposed changes to the Residential Tenancies Act have been tabled in the Legislative Assembly:

  • Removal of the rent cap.
  • Allowing no-cause evictions.

If passed, these changes will take effect on December 1, 2026.
