The fonds consist of Otto Nordling's reference files and photographs that he compiled in preparation for writing a history of Yukon's early settlers, as well as files resulting from Nordling’s interest in the territory's politics, and status in Canada. The fonds also contains photographs collected by Nordling of the historical figures he was planning to write about and two maps of the Mount Black and Mount Martha Black areas. The collection has been arranged into media groupings: Part 1 Textual Records, Part 2 Photographs, Part 3 Publications and Part 4 Maps.
