The Evacuation Alert, issued July 3, 2022 by the Yukon Emergency Measures Organization for Stewart Crossing, has been rescinded. This means residents no longer need to be prepared to leave immediately.
The level of risk to this area has decreased and is now not deemed to present a risk to persons or property within the defined area. Please see the map below.
Cooler weather and increased rain have reduced fire behaviour across the Yukon, as well as limited the number of new fires.
While the Evacuation Alert has been rescinded, property owners in the area should remain vigilant. Wildland Fire Management and the Emergency Coordination Centre continue to closely monitor the situation and the public will be notified of any changes.
