We are excited to have the draft Health Authority Act before the legislative assembly. Transformation will include the removal of silos and barriers, will improve health outcomes for all Yukoners, and will allow us all to build on what we are doing well and course correct on what is not working.

Tiffany Boyd, Co-chair Transformation Advisory Committee and Deputy Minister Health and Social Services

Shäw Kwä’ą/Health and Wellness/Santé et mieux-être Yukon is a rare opportunity for First Nations, the Yukon Government, health providers and all Yukoners to reimagine our health care system so that it integrates services, knocks down barriers and silos, and meets the needs of all Yukon communities. It allows us to refocus the healthcare system to put people in the middle and have the system transform to better meet their needs.

Co-chair of the Health Transformation Advisory Committee Stephen Mills

Collaboration is key to ensuring that our healthcare system meets the diverse needs of our communities. These engagement sessions are an important part of our ongoing efforts to work together for the betterment of health care in Yukon.
