Free admission for children and youth under 18 at the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre as part of the Canada Strong Pass

This summer, the Government of Yukon is making it easier for young people to visit the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre by offering free admission for youth under 18 and half-price admission for ages 18 to 24, as part of the Canada Strong Pass.

The Canada Strong Pass is a federal initiative aimed at encouraging tourism in Canada, enriching the lives of young Canadians and strengthening access to arts and heritage across the country. There is no physical or virtual pass required – eligible visitors just need to show up at participating sites across Canada to enjoy free admission or discounts.

To ensure all visitors can have an enjoyable visit to the Yukon Beringia Interpretive Centre, large groups including daycares and youth camps must prebook admissions by contacting [email protected] or by phoning 867-667-8855.

The Government of Yukon encourages Yukoners and visitors to also explore the many attractions throughout the territory, including community museums, Yukon First Nations cultural centres and historic sites, many of which already offer free or low-cost admission.
Information about visiting the Yukon is available at travelyukon.com.

I am pleased that the Yukon is participating in this national initiative that promotes and appreciates our heritage and culture. All Yukoners and visitors to the territory should check out the Beringia Centre as well as the other incredible museums, Yukon First Nations cultural centres and historic sites. This is an opportunity to demonstrate our shared pride in Canada and the Yukon.

Minister of Tourism and Culture John Streicker
