Government of Yukon donates $25,000 towards COVID-19 relief in India

Today, the Government of Yukon announced a donation to the Canadian Red Cross to support COVID-19 response efforts in India. A donation of $25,000 will be directed to the Indian Red Cross to support relief efforts and help mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Donations to the Red Cross support the procurement of essential supplies and medicines, including oxygen cylinders for clinics and ambulances.

Our thoughts are with the people of India during this devastating time. COVID-19 has affected so many across the globe and countless Yukoners have connections with families, friends and loved ones in India. We stand with the global community as we all strive to move one step closer to the end of this crisis.
