The Government of Yukon encourages those 55 and older to express interest in 2024 Canada 55+ Games

The Government of Yukon is encouraging eligible Yukoners to attend the Canada 55+ Games in Quebec City from August 27 to 30, 2024. The games are open to adults aged 55 years and over as of December 31 of the year the games are held.

Those who would like to attend the games can submit an “I Might Go” form, found on www.elderactive.ca, by January 12, 2024. This form expresses a potential athlete's interest to the organizing committee and helps with the planning of the event.

The “I Might Go” form can be submitted by email to programs@elderactive.ca or by mail to ElderActive Recreation Association, 4061 4th Avenue, Whitehorse YT, Y1A 1H1, or can be hand delivered to the ElderActive office at Suite 303, 309 Strickland Street in Whitehorse.

The Canada 55+ Games is a significant multi-sport event with over 2,500 participants from across the country. The Canada 55+ Games started in 1996 and focuses on the participants’ social, physical and psychological wellbeing. The Yukon has participated in the games since 1998.
