New and improved Yukon 511 launches today

A new Yukon 511 website and mobile app is now available to the public. 511 service allows people to access transportation, construction and traffic information in some regions of Canada and the United States.

Yukon 511 is now more customizable, allowing users to:

  • easily access road condition information from a mobile device;
  • view roadside cameras to view real-time road conditions; and
  • set up advanced voice alerts for selected routes.

The new Yukon 511 includes information on ferry crossings, border information as well as weather alerts across the Yukon.

These improvements will help motorists better plan their travel and prepare for weather conditions or potential road delays before they head out.

The Yukon 511 phone app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

The new Yukon 511 website and mobile app will enable Yukoners to check road conditions and plan their route ahead of time straight from their phone. The new Yukon 511 will bring people a more user-friendly and personalized experience and help Yukoners better plan their travel in our territory.
