Statement from Minister Bellmore on Team Yukon’s participation at the 55+ BC Games

Minister of Community Services Cory Bellmore has issued the following statement:

“A dynamic group of Yukoners will compete at the 55+ BC Games in Kamloops from September 8 to 12.

“Team Yukon’s senior athletes prove that sport is for everyone and that age is no barrier to being part of a team, testing our physical abilities and proudly representing our territory.

“I am confident our senior athletes will demonstrate the northern spirit that defines our territory and the people who live here. I wish them all well in their competitions and hope they make new connections and have fun.

“I would like to extend my gratitude to the BC Seniors Games Society for allowing Team Yukon to participate in these Games after the postponement of the Canada 55+ Senior Games. We appreciate the kindness of including us in these Games.

“Mussi Cho.”
