Minister of the Public Service Commission Jen Gehmair has issued the following statement:
“This week marks National Public Service Week, a time to recognize the dedication of the people who work every day to keep our territory strong. It is an opportunity to celebrate and thank our colleagues, neighbours, friends and family members who show up each day to keep the Yukon connected, thriving and running smoothly.
"This year, the Government of Yukon is celebrating Public Service Week from June 14 to 20. Throughout the week, employees are coming together to recognize one another through a variety of events and activities. These include the Indigenous Employees Awards of Honour, the Indigenous Employees Forum Leadership Conference, the Premier’s Awards of Excellence and Innovation, and public service gatherings in communities across the Yukon.
"I encourage all Yukoners to take time to recognize the contributions of public servants and to show appreciation for their dedication – not only during National Public Service Week but throughout the year.”
