Statement from Premier Dixon on the swearing in of Quebec’s new Premier

Premier Currie Dixon has issued the following statement:

“On behalf of the Government of Yukon, I congratulate Paul St-Pierre Plamondon on being sworn in as the new Premier of Quebec.

“I also thank outgoing Premier Christine Fréchette for her service to Quebecers.

“Outside of Quebec, the Yukon has the third highest rate of English-French bilingual residents per capita in Canada and our jurisdictions have always enjoyed good relations.

“I look forward to working with Premier St-Pierre Plamondon and his government to strengthen the relationship between our governments and advance shared priorities for Yukoners and Quebecers.”
