Statement from Premier Dixon on the swearing in of White River First Nation’s new Chief and Council

Premier Currie Dixon has issued the following statement:

“I would like to congratulate Donna Shiu – Tthi Yédhi – on being sworn in as the new Chief of White River First Nation earlier this week.

“I also extend my congratulations to the four newly elected Councillors.

“The Government of Yukon looks forward to collaborating with the new Chief and Council as we work together on shared priorities that benefit and improve the lives of White River First Nations Citizens and their community.

“Thank you to Bessie Chasse who led and served her community as Chief since 2021. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours.”
