Statement from Premier Pillai welcoming the new Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador

Premier Ranj Pillai has issued the following statement:

“On behalf of the Government of Yukon, I would like to congratulate John Hogan on his success in the Liberal leadership race in Newfoundland and Labrador and on being sworn in as the province’s new Premier.

“As leaders of Canada’s smaller jurisdictions, we are united by a deep commitment to preserving our unique environments, promoting sustainable development and driving innovation. These shared values will serve as a strong foundation for our collaboration. I look forward to the progress we can achieve together to improve the lives of Yukoners, Newfoundlanders and all Canadians.

“I would also like to extend my thanks to Andrew Furey for his work and dedicated service for the last five years during his time as Premier.”
