The Government of Yukon is providing $49,920 to 13 community projects through the Youth Investment Fund. Through the fund, the Government of Yukon supports short-term projects that give youth under 19 positive opportunities across the territory. Each project will provide support for youth by creating engaging social and recreational opportunities while building confidence, leadership skills and positive lifestyles.
Common project themes include: youth leadership development and training initiatives; substance use prevention; peer mentoring; skill development programs; and recreation and arts-based activities.
The Youth Investment Fund provides funding to qualifying community groups twice a year. Eligible groups can apply for funding between $501 and $5,000. The application deadline for the next round of funding is October 1, 2026.
Our government is dedicated to supporting young Yukoners who will shape the future of the territory. These projects help young people stay active, build self-esteem and empower them to create positive connections with adults, the wider community and each other. Thank you to all recipients for your work and commitment to supporting youth.
