Yukon introduces real-time school bus tracking app for families

The Government of Yukon has introduced MyBusStop, an online app that allows families to track their child’s school bus in real time.

MyBusStop provides parents and guardians with the location of their child’s school bus and up-to-date information about its expected arrival time. MyBusStop can help families plan daily pick-ups and drop-offs and reduce time spent waiting at bus stops.

The service is now available on all Whitehorse school bus routes, with plans to expand to rural school bus routes.

Families with children registered to ride a school bus will receive their school’s unique MyBusStop access codes by email. Families need an access code to create an account and use the service.

The service builds on the MyBusStop pilot project conducted in June 2026 and is part of the Government of Yukon’s work to modernize school transportation, improve how information is shared with families and deliver more responsive education services.

MyBusStop will improve communication with families and give parents and guardians more information about their child’s school bus. This investment supports more convenient and reliable school transportation services across the Yukon.

Minister of Education Scott Kent
