Yukon Lottery Commission approves over $900,000 in funding through the spring 2025 Projects Fund

The Government of Yukon, through the Yukon Lottery Commission, is helping to enhance the lives of Yukoners through art, sports and recreation by supporting community non-profit organizations through the Projects Fund.

In this year’s spring intake, the Projects Fund saw $922,405 in funding approved for projects in Dawson, Haines Junction, Watson Lake and Whitehorse. The 19 successful applicants will receive funding to help implement projects that benefit Yukoners and strengthen communities across the Yukon.

Lotteries Yukon continues to reinvest profits from the sale of lottery tickets directly into these initiatives, ensuring that funds generated in the territory support opportunities for Yukoners to connect, create and thrive.

Minister responsible for Yukon Lottery Commission and Lotteries Yukon Sandy Silver

With $922,405 in funding approved through the latest Projects Fund intake, we are proud to support a wide range of non-profits throughout the Yukon. This funding will strengthen arts, sport and recreation across the territory. Thanks to the revenue from lottery ticket sales, we are able to fund grant applications and many amazing projects. These projects wouldn’t be possible without Yukoners purchasing lottery tickets at our retail locations and creating the revenue that we reinvest back into the territory.

Chair and Chief Executive Officer for Yukon Lottery Commission Sara Skelton
