Yukon Public Libraries upgrades its online system

Yukon Public Libraries patrons will notice changes when accessing the online catalogue starting July 24.

Along with a modified appearance, the new online catalogue will boast increased search-function capabilities and make it easier for users to manage their patron accounts. The catalogue will also make navigating the online resources easier and introduce new features, such as personalized recommendations and the ability to submit book requests directly from a patron account.

Library users across the territory will be able to access the new catalogue. As part of the catalogue rollout, the public is invited to provide feedback about their user experience by calling Yukon Public Libraries at 867-667-3668 or emailing whitehorselibrary@yukon.ca.

Libraries play a vital role in our communities, and we thank everyone involved with making it easier for Yukoners to access our diverse range of library resources. Transitioning to a new catalogue system is an important step towards modernizing our library system, and just one of many ways that we are making these important community spaces more accessible and functional to users.

Minister of Community Services Richard Mostyn
