Purpose of the trip:
Premier Pillai and Aaron Casselman as support, were in Vancouver and attended meetings with B.C. Premier David Eby and B.C. Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship Nathan Cullen. Topics of discussion with Premier Eby included renewable energy, the ongoing work to explore the potential interconnection of the Yukon and B.C. electrical grids, recruitment and retention of health care personnel, dual-use infrastructure and Arctic security and sovereignty.
Discussion topics with Minister Cullen focused on critical minerals, climate change and renewable energy projects that power our communities and contribute to responsible resource development.
