Campgrounds
Dezadeash Lake
Choose from many waterfront spots, and try fishing, swimming, birding or hiking.
Million Dollar Falls
Take in the magnificent Takhane River’s cascading waterfall.
Lake Creek
Enjoy large sites with plenty of privacy and a burbling stream running through it.
Hiking trails
1. Spruce Beetle Interpretive Trail is an easy loop with interpretive signs along the way – 2 kilometres.
2. Dezadeash River Trail follows an easy-walking path through forest; look for wildlife, from ducks to moose – 5.5 kilometres.
3. Bullion Plateau Trail is a long gradual ascent with views that extend to the toe of Kaskawulsh Glacier – 22 kilometres.
Flora and fauna
4. Klukshu Wetland overlooks 2 small wetlands; look for Trumpeter Swans.
5. Duke Meadows on the flood plain of Duke River is home to Upland Sandpipers and Sharp-tailed Grouse.
6. Pickhandle Lake is at the end of a short gravel road off Highway 1; look for waterfowl and Muskrats.
7. Thächal Dhäl Visitor Centre is a great place for Dall sheep viewing in the spring and fall.
Culture
8. Da Kų Cultural Centre features the artwork of local Champagne and Aishihik First Nations artists.
9. Kluane Museum of History displays world-class wildlife exhibits.

A hike into Kluane takes you into pure wilderness and offers some of the Yukon’s best chances for spotting wildlife. Stop in at the Kluane National Park and Reserve Visitor Centre in Haines Junction and the Thächäl Dhäl Visitor Centre 1-hour north of the Junction for expert advice and brochures on the park’s many routes and trails.
