Overview of 2025

The SCAN Unit has experienced an increase in complaints compared to last fiscal year. In 2025, SCAN received 215 complaints, the highest number of complaints received annually since the SCAN unit began operations in 2006.

In 2025, the SCAN Unit:

  • helped with 8 landlord-assisted evictions;
  • made 199 agency referrals; and
  • applied for and obtained 3 Community Safety Orders.
