Purpose of the trip: Premier Pillai was the opening speaker at Yukon Night on the 22nd, and attended meetings with mining companies with interest or projects in the Yukon along with EcDev officials and Kim Stavert as support. Premier Pillai also had meetings with his Premier counterparts from NWT, Premier Cochrane and Premier Eby of BC to establish commonalities, priorities and initiatives that would be beneficial to their respective jurisdictions. Premier Pillai also had meetings with YT First Nations that were down for the event to discuss priorities for their nations and alignment.
Minister Streicker met with government officials from various jurisdictions and First Nations as well multiple mining companies. Minister Streicker also provided a welcome address at the Yukon Night event.
Minister McLean met with government and First Nation officials from various jurisdictions and representatives from mining companies. Minister McLean gave a presentation at the Invest Yukon booth, and hosted a luncheon on Reconciliation.
