Purpose of the trip: Health and Social Services Minister Tracy-Anne McPhee and Ministerial Advisor Michele Shaw attended a Northern Health Minister’s meeting in Vancouver, BC, ahead of the Federal, Provincial, Territorial Health Minister’s meetings. Topics discussed were health system concerns facing all three territories, such as Health Human Resources challenges, Territorial Health Innovation & Investment Funding, Licensing, Canada Health Transfer, and Substance Abuse. Northwest Territory’s Alcohol Strategy and Nunavut’s Healing Centre were also discussed.
