Purpose of the trip: The Premier and his team met with the other Premiers from across Canada to discuss initiatives and coordination between Premiers to advance discussions with federal counterparts. Meetings were had with Federal Ministers to discuss upcoming projects that the Yukon would like to see prioritized in the Federal Budget and further discussions on health funding to the Yukon. The Premier also was an award presenter for the Arctic Inspiration Prize that went to Diane Strand and her team for their work on an after treatment on the land program. The Premier met with the Ambassador of Japan while in Ottawa to discuss trade, tourism and other opportunities between Japan and the Yukon and the Consul General of India in Vancouver to discuss health care professionals and partnership between the Yukon and India.
