Purpose of the trip: Minister McPhee travelled to Skagway Alaska to represent the Yukon Government at the 125th Anniversary of the White Pass & Yukon Route. The White Pass and Yukon Route is central to the Yukon’s development as a Territory and this event highlights an important milestone in the long-standing relationship between Alaska and the Yukon and the critical role this route plays in development of both jurisdictions.
