Where can I find results?

We’ll consolidate feedback gathered through the online engagement and the open house into a What We Heard report and post it on this page. 

We’ll release the final flood hazard maps for Ross River on the Government of Yukon’s Flood Hub. It’ll be available to the public in summer 2026.

What was this engagement about? 

The Government of Yukon is developing flood hazard maps for all Yukon communities that are at risk of flooding. This engagement focuses on draft maps for the Ross River area. 

These maps show how different flood scenarios could affect the surrounding land and infrastructure. The maps are made from:

  • detailed surveys; and
  • computer models.
How will my input make a difference?

Your feedback will help ensure that the final flood hazard maps for Ross River reflect lived flood experiences in the area and help support community flood risk awareness.

Once we finalize the flood hazard maps, they’ll be used by the public and all levels of government to make informed decisions regarding:

  • flood preparation and mitigation;
  • land use planning; and
  • emergency management.
