We want to hear your views on the approaches we’re considering for new minerals legislation. We’ve developed these approaches in collaboration with Yukon First Nations.
We want to know what you think about the approaches and how they could support:
- a strong and viable industry in the future;
- environmental protection;
- Indigenous rights; and
- healthy and sustainable Yukon communities.
The Government of Yukon and First Nations governments will use your feedback as we continue to work on developing new minerals legislation.
Read the condensed discussion paper to get an overview of the approaches we’re considering. If you’re looking for more details, you can also read a more in-depth discussion paper.
If you’re interested in a particular topic, you can download a short information sheet or a longer excerpt from the complete discussion paper.
